A Twilio Form Connector helps you send and manage short messages programmatically. Our platform lets you quickly and easily send text messages when a Form entry is uploaded and/or a Task Connector’s triggering condition occurs.
Before you add a Twilio Connector, you must ensure a valid Twilio Connection set up on your organization.
Adding a Twilio Form Connector
The Form Connectors page can be accessed from your Form designer, settings, or the Screens listing if you hover your mouse over the Form row to display the connect option.
Once you are on the Connectors page, setting up a Twilio Connector is easy:
- Click the ADD CONNECTOR button (top-right corner) to see a list of the available Connectors.
- Click the Twilio option.
This will refresh the page and display your Connector, ready for configuration.
Configuring a Twilio Form Connector
Next, configure the following:
Property | Description |
To Numbers(s) | Enter the phone number(s) for this message to be sent to separated by commas. Note: Phone numbers should not contain anything other than numbers and the ‘+’ symbol. For more information see Formatting Phone Numbers. |
Message Body |
Enter a custom message body of your choice. You can also create a dynamic subject using fields from your Form – hit the hammer icon to build your text. Note: Messages cannot be longer than 160 characters. If the message is longer anything over 160 characters will be truncated. |
To Form Field | Send messages to a dynamic phone number(s) by selecting a form field from the list. The user must define the required phone number in the selected form field when completing the form entry. |
Anonymize Personal Data | If enabled, data from fields marked as Personal Data will be converted to a nonhuman-readable format to aid privacy. |
At this stage, your Connector is ready to go.
Click the SAVE button (top-right corner) to save your changes and activate the Connector.
